Snadowsky<br \/>\nPhotos by Timothy Gendron<\/h6>\n<p>Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans (CCANO) hosted a celebration on Thursday, December 6, 2018, to commemorate the extended hours of service at Hope Haven at St. John Bosco PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Center, located at 1101 Barataria Blvd., in Marrero. The following people were recognized for their support of the center: Senator John Alario, Joseph and JoAnn Toomy, Representative Patrick Connick and John Hummel.<\/p>\n<p>Executive Director of PACE Greater New Orleans Antonio Dias said, \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled that PACE GNO has reached many milestones over the course of the last year. In addition to extending our services, I\u2019m especially proud of the compassion and hard work our team of professionals has consistently delivered to participants and caregivers over the past decade in the Greater New Orleans area.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The center offers PACE participants access to care on the West Bank under the leadership of Dias, and the direction the CCANO President and CEO Marjorie Hebert, M.S.C. and its Board of Directors. PACE GNO provides adult day health care, transportation, medications, rehabilitation and restorative therapies, medical care, pastoral care, social services, activities and recreation, caregiver support, hospitalization and nursing home care when needed and other specialty services tailored for each individual\u2019s needs. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExtending the hours at Hope Haven PACE has allowed Catholic Charities to continue to provide hope, help and loving care for the most vulnerable in our community. PACE\u2019s new presence will further our mission of enhancing the quality of life and autonomy for older adults while maximizing their dignity and respect,\u201d said CCANO President and CEO Marjorie Hebert, M.S.C.<\/p>\n<p>PACE GNO is an affiliated ministry of CCANO, which provides a comprehensive network of social services that connects clients to resources and acts as a springboard to self-sufficiency for those struggling in the eight civil parishes of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
